



Standing CommitteesAmbassador/Ribbon CuttingThis committee attends all of the Ground Breaking/Grand Opening/Ribbon cutting Ceremonies. Notices are sent out prior to the event. The Chair, Immediate Past President, assigns Chamber Ambassadors to attend other functions as the Chamber representative. MarketingCommittee meets on a monthly schedule. It's primary function is to 'market Marion and the Chamber' in order to increase awareness of the opportunities and activities in Marion. MembershipCommittee meets on a monthly schedule. The committee coordinates activities and programs of work to promote new members and value added services to existing members. RetentionCommittee meets quarterly. The committee calls on existing major businesses with the purpose of developing a working relationship and to solicit business issues of concern. Event CommitteesAll-Star Football GameThe event was restarted by Coach Rude to honor senior players. The committee coordinates the concessions. Annual Dinner BanquetCommittee meets once a month for three months prior to the event. Committee is responsible for coordinating the entertainment, menu, decorations, etc. Golf TournamentCommittee meets once a month starting in May. Responsibilities include soliciting door prizes, silent auction items, Hole Sponsors and goody bag items as well as selecting the menu. Graduation SpreeCommittee meets once a month from February through May. Committee is responsible for all planning, fund raising and coordination of activities for the Drug/Alcohol Free Celebration for the Marion High School Graduating Seniors. Santa's HotlineCommittee meets in December to coordinate the "Santa's" to be on hand to answer the phone calls from the area's children. Community Day At The Miners
