The Marion Chamber of Commerce cordially invites you to attend our 96th Annual Awards Banquet & Auction Friday, January 20, 2017, at The Pavilion.
The event begins at 5:30 p.m. with a Social Hour, sponsored by Mayer Networks. The Social Hour will feature entertainment by pianist Brock Bertling (sponsored by Clearwave Communications), beverages, hors d'oeuvres (sponsored by First Southern Bank) and more. Signature Drinks, sponsored by Joyner Therapy Services and Black Diamond Harley Davidson, will be available at no charge for attendees during the Social Hour.
The event will also include a Wine & Spirit Pull, sponsored by Banterra Bank. During the Social Hour, guests are encouraged to buy a cork for $15 or two for $25 which will have a corresponding number to one of the bottles of wine or spirits on hand. Your business participation by donating a wine or spirit valued at $20 or more to be used in the Wine & Spirit Pull would be very much appreciated. A Silent Auction, sponsored by Fifth Third Bank, will also be held during the Social Hour. Also during the Social Hour, a Diamond Drop, sponsored by Diamond Designs, will be held. For $10, a participant at the Annual Dinner will receive an ice cube that may contain one many fabulous pieces of jewelry. The proceeds from the Diamond Drop at the Marion Chamber’s annual dinner go to the Poshard Foundation for Abused Children. The mission of the Poshard Foundation is to help abused, neglected, and abandoned children in Southern Illinois.
Ike Family Dealerships is sponsoring a Photo Booth where all participants are welcome to get their photo taken by a professional photographer. The photos will be emailed to participants after the event concludes.
The Award Presentations will begin after dinner service. The following awards will be presented:

- Distinguished Member Award
- Citizen of the Year Award (Sponsored by Watermark Auto Group)
- Lifetime Achievement Award (Sponsored by Southern Illinois Miners)
- Business/Industry of the Year Award (Sponsored by Southern Illinois Healthcare)
The Annual Dinner Committee would like to honor those we have lost in the past year who have contributed to the Marion Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Marion area. The tribute will be played during the Annual Dinner. Please complete this form about anyone who has contributed to the Marion Chamber of Commerce and/or the Greater Marion area who has passed away since the 2015. Submissions made prior to January 2, 2017, will be included in the In Memoriam tribute played during the 96th annual Marion Chamber of Commerce Auction & Awards Banquet.
The Award Presentations will be videotaped in HD and available on DVD for purchase after the event concludes (videography sponsored by SIU Credit Union). The video will also be emailed to everyone in the Chamber's email list after the video is complete.
A professional photographer will be taking photos throughout the event. The photography is sponsored by Golden Eagle Distributing.
A program for the event will be given to each guest and contains points of history for the Marion Chamber as well as past winners of the awards. The program is sponsored by Commercial Janitorial Services.
The event is black tie optional and seating is assigned (hospitality sponsored by Williamson County Tourism Bureau). Marion High School FBLA volunteers (sponsored by Clearwave Communications) will be on hand to escort guests to their seats. Volunteers from John A. Logan College will also be on hand to help with the Coat Check, sponsored by Veterans Airport of Southern Illinois.
