Hospice of Southern Illinois Celebrates 45th Anniversary
For 45 years, Hospice has been a trusted source of comfort, dignity, and compassion for patients and families throughout our community. The Marion Chamber was honored to help celebrate this meaningful milestone and recognize the people who have made Hospice’s mission possible.
During the celebration, Matt Carnaghi, Chair of the Marion Chamber, reflected on Hospice’s long-standing role in Marion and the countless lives touched through its care. Mayor Absher also shared appreciation for the organization’s deep impact, noting the many families who have received support, guidance, and compassion during some of life’s most difficult moments.
Amy Ritter, CEO of Hospice, spoke about the organization’s growth, commitment to excellence, and the dedicated staff, volunteers, board members, community partners, physicians, hospitals, and donors who help carry the mission forward. She highlighted Hospice’s strong quality scores, recent survey achievements, and continued focus on reinvesting resources back into services for patients and families.
This anniversary is more than a number. It is a celebration of neighbors caring for neighbors, of compassionate service, and of a legacy built on trust. Congratulations to Hospice on 45 years of meaningful care and community impact.
