Marion Chamber Hosting 'Career Changing Opportunities' Virtual Fair on April 7th.

Career Changing Opportunities - Virtual Event on April 7th


The Marion Chamber of Commerce is hosting a virtual career fair on April 7 from 3 – 7 p.m. The event, Career Changing Opportunities, is free and open to all who are seeking a change in their career path.


“The Marion Chamber is an organization of business and professional people working together to build a healthy economy and to improve the quality of life in our community,” said Marion Chamber Executive Director Karen Mullins. “This career fair fits perfectly into our mission.”


Career opportunities, along with information about exhibitors and their job openings, are available at https://www.marionillinois.com/career-fair.

“This virtual career fair allows for flexibility for not only our members to reach out to those seeking career changing opportunities, but also for all those in the market for a new career,” said Dalus Ben Avi, Marketing Director for Centerstone and chairperson of the Marion Chamber’s Marketing Committee, which is spearheading the event.


Exhibitors will be available throughout the four-hour event. Job seekers will visit the career fair web site and click on the link to speak to an exhibitor about the careers they have posted.


Those interested in attending the career fair should visit https://www.marionillinois.com/career-fair for more information, including a list of career opportunities available and exhibitors in the career fair. All those seeking career opportunities are asked to have a digital copy of their resume ready for the day of the event and be prepared to virtually meet exhibitors of the career fair through Zoom, Google Meet or other online platforms. All job seekers should be prepared to be on video during their meetings with exhibitors.


Businesses, organizations, etc. interested in being an exhibitor at this career fair should contact the Marion Chamber at (618) 997-6311 or director@marionillinois.com. There is no cost to be an exhibitor at the career fair, but all exhibitors must be members of the Marion Chamber. Exhibitors must be able to use Zoom, Google Meet or another online platform to meet job seekers during the event.

On Monday, February, members of the business community, civic leaders, and staff of Rachael Academy of Education gathered to celebrate the opening of their new facility in Marion. Ribbon Cutting guests were greeted by Chamber Board Chair Deborah Hogg. Mayor Michael Absher spoke about need in this area for additional educational and behavioral resources. Mary Anderson, Directory of the academy, and Nathan thanked their staff, interns, and community partners on their help to make this facility a reality.
