In the coming days before my trip to Kanie, I had a very faint idea of what to expect from the whole experience. Looking back on this trip now, I am very happy to say that it was one of the best experiences of my life! The trip was a really great way to experience Japanese culture by being fully immersed in Japan’s lifestyle. I really enjoyed trying new things and seeing unique locations that were previously unfamiliar to me. In my opinion, all of the people I met on this trip were the best part of the whole experience. Everyone was very kind, friendly, and positive which made the whole experience wonderful. After meeting and spending time with new people I met on the trip, I have established new friendships overseas which I’m sure will last a lifetime!

I had been anticipating this trip for a long time, so to finally go on it was super exciting for me. I got to see old friends, make new ones, and overall learn more about Japanese culture in a way that can only be learned by becoming immersed. I hope to one day go back and see everyone again. I think everyone should go on an experience similar to this at least once in their life to learn to appreciate other countries and grow in their worldly knowledge."
